Good sports flooring is the foundation of every professional or home gym. Whether you do functional training, train with weights or run group classes, without the right surface you risk damage or injury. At NRG Fitness, you'll find sports flooring that meets every requirement: sturdy, shock-absorbing, easy to lay and easy to maintain. Browse our extensive range below.

Why sports flooring matters

Good sports flooring isn't an unnecessary luxury; it's an essential part of every training space. Whether you train heavy, move a lot or work with equipment, the right surface really makes a difference.

Sports flooring offers the following benefits:

  • Protects the subfloor: prevents damage to concrete, tiles or wood from dropped weights.

  • Comfort and safety: cushioning reduces impact on the joints and lowers the risk of slipping.

  • Absorbs noise: dampens the sound of weights and movement, which is welcome in shared spaces.

  • Provides grip and stability: important for heavy-load exercises and explosive movements.

High-quality sports flooring is the basis for safety, performance and a professional look in any training space. Whether you run a professional gym, are fitting out a personal training studio or are building a compact home gym, NRG Fitness has the right sports flooring, with expert advice on thickness, layout and maintenance.

Find the right floor for your training

Whatever training you offer or do, NRG Fitness supplies sports flooring to match the specific needs of every athlete and the way the space is used. Our wide range is tailored to different types of training, floor constructions and acoustic requirements.

To find the floor that suits your training, it's important to look at the characteristics of each type.

Rubber sports tiles (10–43 mm)

These gym floor tiles are the standard for CrossFit boxes, functional training zones and strength training. They're available in different thicknesses to suit the intensity of use:

  • 10–15 mm is suitable as a base floor under cardio equipment and light strength stations.
  • 20–25 mm offers more cushioning for barbell and dumbbell use.
  • 40–43 mm acoustic tiles are ideal for spaces with floors below or neighbours, thanks to extra noise and vibration damping.

Rubber rolls (4–10 mm)

For larger spaces or group fitness, we offer rubber flooring on a roll. The seamless floor is practical for HIIT studios and sports halls. Rolls are available up to 1.25 metres wide, so you can work efficiently with less cutting waste.

Tatami mats (40 & 50 mm)

For martial arts such as judo, karate, taekwondo or MMA, we offer classic tatami mats. These jigsaw mats have a textured top layer with plenty of grip and are available with interlocking edges or a non-slip underside for fixed installation.

Jigsaw & EVA mats (20 & 30 mm)

Looking for an affordable, flexible solution for children's sport or recreational use? Then EVA mats are the right choice. They're lightweight, easy to lay and suitable for yoga, light martial arts or PE lessons.

Equipment mats & cardio pads

For use under cardio equipment such as treadmills, rowing machines and indoor bikes, we supply made-to-measure shock-absorbing mats. They absorb vibrations (by up to 25 dB) and protect the subfloor against wear and noise transmission.

Sprint tracks & artificial grass lanes

Our artificial grass lanes are designed for sled pulls, sprints and agility drills. They're reinforced with a laminated backing and available in 1 × 10 m, 1 × 15 m or a custom length. The HD fibres withstand intensive use.

From acoustic tiles to sports mats or artificial grass lanes, we'll help you choose the right application, finish and combination for your space, so your sports floor works both technically and visually.

Installation and maintenance

Laying a sports floor doesn't have to be complicated. Many of our floors have a click or jigsaw system and can be installed without glue. That means you can lay the floor quickly and move or extend it later if needed.

Key points for installation and maintenance:

  • Make sure the subfloor is flat and dry for optimal grip and lifespan.
  • Clean the floor regularly with a damp cloth or a special cleaner. Avoid harsh cleaning products.
  • Use edging strips or connectors where needed for a neat finish.
  • Lower heavy equipment evenly onto the floor to limit indentations.

Our sports floors are designed for intensive use and will last for years with correct use and maintenance.
