With swings from NRG Fitness BV, you can turn any garden into a lively play area, whether you choose a compact garden swing with one seat or a sturdy wooden swing for the whole family. Thanks to smart assembly systems, durable materials and an extensive range of accessories, you can easily create the swing for your garden that suits your space, budget and ideal setup.
A garden swing is more than a toy: it encourages balance, coordination and outdoor fun. Combine it with a gymnastics set, add a trampoline or create a complete sports area with basketball poles, football goals or even a compact air hockey table for rainy days. This lets you build your own recreation area step by step.
The benefits of an outdoor swing
Multifunctional play: from toddler seat to swing for adults. Thanks to interchangeable swing seats, the frame grows with its users.
Durable construction: quality wooden swing timber that is pressure-treated to withstand sun, rain and frost without additional maintenance.
Flexible placement: choose a freestanding standalone swing or anchor the frame to an existing play-tower structure.
Expandable: easily combine it with accessories such as swing hooks, gymnastics rings, a climbing rope or a slide for twice the fun.
Choosing the right swing
- Dimensions & space: Measure the available area and keep at least two metres of clear fall space in front and behind.
- Number of seats: Single or double garden swing? Decide how many children or adults want to swing at the same time.
- Material: A wooden swing offers a natural look and stays cool in summer; metal frames stand out with their modern design.
- Accessories & sports mix: Combine it with a table tennis table or upgrade later with a gymnastics set for even more activity.
Types of swings
Basic swing: compact frame, ideal as an outdoor swing for small gardens.
Modular swing: expandable with a climbing net, slide or trampoline for a complete play area.
Adult swing: extra-high frame, thicker timber beams and high load capacity, perfect for family fun or calisthenics.
Standalone swing: order just the seats or swing hook separately for an existing frame.
Assembly & maintenance
- Quick assembly: thanks to pre-drilled uprights and clear instructions, your garden swing can be assembled in approximately 90 minutes.
- Surface: Grass, rubber tiles or wood chips cushion falls and protect the frame.
- Maintenance: Rinse ropes clean, check the coating or impregnation layer annually and replace worn parts in good time.
Complete your garden

Frequently asked questions about swings
How long does a swing last?
With properly treated wood and rust-resistant hardware, a swing structure can last 10-15 years. Regularly check ropes and swing hooks for wear to extend its lifespan further.
Why does a swing lean to one side?
Uneven ground, worn suspension points or an incorrectly positioned swing hook can cause the swing to lean. Check that the anchors are level and replace worn bolts or hooks.
How far apart should swings be?
Keep at least 45 cm of sideways distance between two seats. Install the hooks approximately 60 cm apart for a classic plank seat; a nest swing requires additional clearance.
How deep should a swing be anchored in the ground?
Anchor each leg with ground anchors in concrete blocks measuring approximately 25 × 25 × 30 cm. Allow the concrete to cure for at least one day to prevent wobbling.
What is the best way to reinforce my swing?
Use diagonal support beams, choose heavy-duty corner connectors and secure the ground anchors in concrete. Check the frame for play at least twice a year.
