How do I choose the right massage chair?

At NRG Fitness, you'll find various massage chairs, but which chair is best for you? There are a number of factors to consider, such as the desired type of massage, with or without foot massage, different programs, and with or without a reclining position. Of course, the budget also plays a role.

Finding the right massage chair can be quite a task. That's why you can always turn to our specialized staff. We also offer tailor-made advice. In addition to massage chairs, we also offer other wellness products. This includes, for example, massage devices.

Some important functionalities when making the right choice are:

1. Different types of massage

The various massage chairs offer different types of massage, such as tapping, shiatsu, rolling, and squeezing massage. Depending on your preferences and goals, it's wise to consider this. Are you looking more for recovery after intense workouts? Then look more at tapping and rolling massages so that the muscles are addressed more deeply. A shiatsu massage is more about relaxation.

2. A reclining position to completely relax your spine

This position is also known as "zero gravity." The chair can be set to a completely horizontal position, which eliminates tension in the shoulders, upper back, and lower back, allowing the muscles and your spine to completely relax.

3. Different types of programs

Once you've used the massage chair for a while, it becomes more interesting to try the automatic programs and let yourself be guided by the preset programs. These are carefully compiled by the developers and take into account the type of massage and its duration, ensuring optimal alignment.

4. Foot massage

Various massage chairs have a separate section for the feet. This works with air cushions that inflate themselves, so they fit perfectly around your feet. This effectively massages the muscle tissue in the feet. Ideal after a long walk or to stimulate blood circulation in the feet.

5. A built-in heating function

Last but not least: the heating function. Warm muscles are much easier to relax than cold muscles. In addition, you also increase comfort during the massage. Please note: a massage chair with a heating function consumes more electricity than one without.
